You have given birth.
And every day, you wake up in a new body.
A body that feels new things. Foreign things.
You have been spit out of childbirth into a world of questions, mysteries, and uncomfortable surprises.
You're not sure where You are in this body. What is normal. What is allowed. What is safe.
You're not sure how to move this body. You default to avoiding pain. Avoiding leaks. Avoiding accidents.
You're not sure it should be this hard. This exhausting. This confusing.
You're a first-responder now. And you wonder, "who is responding to me?"
You long for something familiar. "I want to get back to the old me. I want to feel like myself again."
But like a phoenix, you erupted into a new reality in the flames of delivery.
And you were reborn. Somewhat vulnerable. Perhaps weak, isolated, or numb.
You've been looking for a path back to your old self.
But what if this transformational journey of delivery has turned you into something more? Something greater than you used to be?
You have now walked through a door that can't be closed. A door that opens to a deeply rooted, powerfully strong person who can care for herself and those around her with poise, energy, and ease.
I invite you to step into this new self.
This new shape. This new vulnerability.
And to discover that imprinted deep inside you is all of who you were before, and now, the potential for so much more.
More strength. More grit. More comfort. More control. More inner peace. More power. More tenderness. More compassion. More generosity.
You are able to spread your new wings and rise to this challenge. You just need the right tools and a compassionate guide.
Someone who can simplify the recovery process for you.
Someone who can train you in the practical skills that make caregiving easier.
Someone who can streamline the information and remove the guesswork so you can spend your limited time on what really matters. On what *actually* helps.
I am here to support you as you reconnect to your own strength, stamina, and self.
My approach is rooted in embodied movement and enhanced by many years as a postpartum training specialist and breathwork coach.
I will show you how to thrive inside the beautiful web of your intuition, strength, and mastery.
Your body. Your power. Your healing. It starts here.
1:1 Embodied Movement Coaching that demystifies recovery, restores your strength, and rebuilds your connection to your self.
We start with the 3B Connection: the brain, the body, and the breath. You will find your muscles again. You will awaken what has fallen asleep inside you and breathe life, energy and awareness back into your being.
The 3B Connection becomes your anchor. We strengthen your core muscles, the very center of yourself, so you have an unshakeable foundation.
We dive deep on postpartum body-awareness and functional caretaking skills so you are equipped to powerfully respond to the athletic demands of parenting.
We build whole body strength so you are comfortable and confident to do more of what you love with ease and joy.
This program asks you to be present and deliberate, and rewards patience and mastery of the techniques.
Some important considerations:
While working with Jourdan, I found out I was pregnant, and she so thoughtfully adjusted our workouts to accommodate. What I established with Jourdan's help, hands down, saved my body so much during my first pregnancy and into my postpartum healing. Now, I've had my second baby and Jourdan has been helping me reestablish not only my core and pelvic strength, but my mind-body connection. She always meets me where I'm at, is so attentive to personalizing workouts, and so incredibly knowledgeable. Working with Jourdan was and is the best thing I could be doing for my body!

You have given birth.
And giving birth gave birth to a new you.
It is time to nurture this Renaissance.
Let's begin the conversation. This call is a place for you to share your story and ask your questions. Together, we can decide if Renaissance is the right next step to support you in your postpartum journey.
Your body. Your power. Your healing. It starts here.
The beauty of the Renaissance program is that you can move through each chapter at a pace that is right for you. However, a common timeline may be: Chapter 1: 2-4 visits | Chapter 2: 2-4 visits | Chapter 3: 4-6 visits | Chapter 4: as long as you need to return to your personal interests
My first question is always, "How often do you need to meet to feel supported?" This varies from person to person. However, I typically recommend meeting for an hour once a week. We can meet more if you need more support, or less if you need less support.
As with all body work, we typically get out of it what we put into it. That said, you're postpartum for goodness sake! You don't have boundless freetime! This is accounted for in the program. I do my best to create a routine that fits into the small moments of your day, and even fits seamlessly into other activities you're already doing when possible. You can expect to achieve meaningful results with as little as 5 minutes a day, with greater and more rapid progress as you increase your time performing the exercises.
This is not a test! During a movement evaluation, we meet together in person (or online) and I have you perform common movement patterns. I am looking at how your joints relate to one another, and understanding how your body responds to the environment. I will also check for Diastasis Recti if your doctor has not. This information helps me outline a unique plan for your recovery and determine if you need additional support from a medical professional. The movement evaluation takes approximately one hour.
Yes! The program can be effectively conducted over a video call. We will work together to make sure you have the right tools to do so. A strong internet connection is required.
Congratulations! Pregnancy is a wonderful time to go through the Renaissance program. The tools and skills we learn in Chapters 1 - 3 are incredibly valuable and transferable to pregnancy. In addition to postpartum recovery, we will work through my prenatal protocol simultaneously. We will also make sure you are equipped to parent a young child while pregnant again. This is a special set of skills! You will be well-supported for both goals.
No problem! Our program will adjust slightly to make sure you have the tools and skills you need to parent young children while being newly postpartum.
We can begin as soon as your doctor or midwife clears you for exercise at your postpartum checkup, and you are at least 6 weeks postpartum.
I believe all birthing bodies can benefit from intentional postpartum recovery. Postpartum is forever, and we may carry habits and dysfunction forward with us without realizing it. Renaissance is most specifically effective for those who are up to 2 years postpartum, or for anyone who feels they have physically plateaued beyond 2 years due to a previous pregnancy. It is also helpful if you plan to be pregnant again in the future. If you're not sure, book a free call and we can discuss your particular needs.
It is always a good idea to ask your doctor to check you for Diastasis Recti and pelvic organ prolapse. Having this knowledge is incredibly useful for recovery.
Renaissance is a great supplement to pelvic floor therapy, but it is not a replacement. I am of the professional opinion that all birthing parents can benefit from a visit with the pelvic floor therapist postpartum. This is a great place to learn if your body is healing well, or if you need more therapeutic treatment. If you have concerns about your pelvic floor function or are experiencing symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction (bladder leaks, constipation, painful sex, etc), I recommend seeing a pelvic floor PT before beginning Renaissance.
Yes! C-sections can have just as big of an impact on our core and pelvic floor as vaginal birth. A c-section can also disrupt the 3B Connection (Brain, Body, Breath) more severly than vaginal birth. The Renaissance program factors in your birth experience and tailors recovery tools and skills to your needs.
Renaissance works to rebuild core strength in a safe and methodical way. Many women see improvements in diastasis recti, although this is not guaranteed. If you are concerned about the longterm effects of DR, I encourage you to discuss this with your doctor or physical therapist.
Renaissance works to rebuild pelvic floor strength and function. However, if you have pelvic floor dysfunction (bladder leaks, constipation, painful sex, etc.), I will refer you first to a pelvic floor therapist in your area. Renaissance is a great supplement to pelvic floor therapy.
Pelvic organ prolapse is a serious condition and should be addressed first by your OB/GYN. Your doctor will likely refer you to pelvic floor therapy, and I highly encourage you to prioritize this if it is recommended. Renaissance is an excellent supplement to pelvic floor therapy, and we can work in collaboration with your care team to ensure you are moving safely while building caretaking skills and strategies with this condition.
